The QR slips don't work if even slightly damp as discovered this morning. Or if you have not got very steady hands. And as it took 12 mins to get a space and 10 mins to exit we have run up 22 mins of our 90 mins allowance. And this is a 'quiet day and time. What will this be like by Christmas or when the weather breaks?Another afterthought and yes the store is smaller and the range reduced.Have already found that it's now quicker from parts of Brentford to the Acton store there and back, but this is supposed to be the local one so wanted to see it for real. Smart yes. Dear than Acton Why? and not as accessible by far.Which is much as predicted ...except by our people in authority. Who went to lengths to dismiss all the concerns which continue to be borne out as 100% accurate.Which is par for the course.

I used the Carpark tonight, entrance is opposite cost cutter in the London Road, first left after you turn from the London road, wide access road down to the carpark and well lit. Does not looked finished to me though. Take the lift from the Basement to the ground floor. 90 mins free if you spend a fiver. Staff will give you an exit slip you must scan the QR code on the red flashing LED at the bottom of pay machine. It will beep and the display will confirm you can exit. Mind you there are no barriers yet! After you come up and out of the carpark you must turn left however many were turning right against the incoming traffic. Mind you its ridiculous having to drive all around the Ham to get onto the London road. Maybe they change that. There are no permanent road signs or markings on the road yet.

So, anyone know what the car park is like?

Yes is definitely a little smaller than the old one, whatever is said about it.Hopefully, they will have some competition if Ali or Lidl open an outlet, but I wont be holding my breath.

Been into new Morrisons and the Acton one yesterday.Same items different prices. Add £1 to items in Brentford. Was exactly the same two weeks ago at Ealing Acton and Brentford. So is this the same as Sainsburys Local and Tesco Metros and smaller CO-Ops being up to 50% dearer for items than at larger non Metro type stores?Yet again the existing populous of Brentford are being brushed aside for the lust of the parachuted in wealthy of the developments and as ever the 'caring Labour regime' are similarly only interested in courting their champagne socialist elite.Surely not?!!

Totally ridiculous, the few cars that are actually leaving Morrisons can exit the way they came in opposite Costcutter. The Ham temporary traffic lights are so close to the Commerce Road ones that everything just locks up.

I drove up the London road tonight as well have to totally agree with what you mention. Queue was back past the Coach and Horses, temporary lights at the Xing causing yet more mayhem! I have not seen one car exiting the Ham this week either. As others have mentioned elsewhere Brentford Town becoming very difficult to access from any direction.

Morrison’s will lose business if it’s less accessible, but maybe it’s going to rely on all the well-heeled new residents of the swanky flats.

Not to mention the temp traffic lights at The Ham. What total fiasco. I use this route regularly and have yet to see a care leaving the Ham. Living in Brentford and trying to return home is a major nightmare. 20 mins from Syon Lane to the rogue lights this evening. Get rid of them and sort yourselves out LBH

I managed to get through to Brentford despite all the barriers. The shop I did in the new Morrisons only involved a few items and I can't say I noticed a particular hike in prices. However, over the last few years I do think Morrisons has moved away somewhat from being a value retailer, probably not wanting to occupy the same space as Lidl and Aldi. This doesn't make prices 'scandalously high' but I'm rarely looking at my till receipt with a feeling of pleasant surprise about how low it is.

Morrisons is now owned by Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, an American private equity firm. They paid £7 billion for Morrisons – far more than it is worth. The result is scandalously high prices for customers. This is one of the reasons I don’t shop there anymore. That and the fact that Brentford is now cut off from the rest of the world thanks to TfL and Hounslow Council’s barricade of the A4. Brentford is now effectively a no-go zone if you are trying to get there from Chiswick or Ealing.
