Anyone..?

Anyone know what the nature of the 'work'(term used lightly as no work seems to being done) outside the Six Bells?There looks like there has been some sort of new paving laid,albeit unfinished and there is never anyone attending the site or even leaning on a shovel to create an impression of anything going on? Still,who amongst those who are responsible really cares what happens?Why am I not surprised? Here's a tip to those who are responsible,don't start public works unless you have the manpower and parts/equopment to start and finish the jog in one fell swoop.If you don't have those things in place,don't start the bloody job until you do.

Why not ask the £37,000 per annum in allowances Cllr. Catherine Dunne. She holds the cabinet position with responsibility for this debacle.

Is anyone actually monitoring those temporary lights and whether they are actually necessary? The exit from Morrisons is hardly a traffic jam, there are so few cars exiting The Ham. The lights have had an effect on traffic exiting Augustus Close as traffic is blocking the exit and difficult to see round when turning right. Unintended consequences of poor traffic management.

Those temporary Traffic lights have been causing Traffic chaos for at least the last 2 weeks and whats annoying is it appears hardly any work being carried out numerous times I have cycled or driven past.

The Hogarth "temporary" flyover in Chiswick comes to mind Keith ... but maybe it's proved itself to be sufficient ... for the time being (60 years?)

The paving installed has 4 small manhole covers,possibly leading to water stopcocks etc.It wouldn't surprise me if the resultant accumulated debris contributed to the recent swimming pool that appeared there after recent rain.Hopefully that's been cleared now.The work took absolutely ages and how much longer will those seemingly redundant 'temporary' traffic lights be there.As is sometimes said in France'There is nothing so permanent as a temporary solution'

Ah,ha.  Sitting in the huge queue on the M25 slip road trying to exit at the Junction with the A3  (Wisley)…The construction company has covered this by erecting a sign saying something along the lines that “you may not see us working but we are hard at work out of sight”So there you are.

Cheers Jim.If it's just new paving it must be some kind of record for the length of time it has taken.I am sure though that record will be surpassed soon somewhere locally.

Just passed by Keith. It's looks clearer. New paving etc.But not finished seemingly.
