South Ealing Stn Westbound closed from Tuesday for 6 weeks
Another late announcement from TfLSouth Ealing Station westbound platform ( that's towards Heathrow) is to be closed from the 31st October until mid December earliest. This is for long overdue scheduled works. Passengers will already be aware that the stairs and floor surfaces have been faulty and slippery for several years and the visual aid dimples on the platforms have become severe trip hazards - ironically for visually impaired in particular. **These dimple pavers when used on inclined kerbs are also awful when frosty so beware.**So with diversions and long bus delays already to South Ealing and Northfields things are about to get worse.Best option from a Tube driver is to use Boston Manor to go west as it's cheaper. It is though, more expensive to go east with few and more overcrowded trains than from Northfields or South Ealing. Unlike in East London when TfL moved the zone boundary whilst Stratford Station and others were less accessible, They will not be doing the same for Boston Manor even though both will be largely inaccessible for Brentford Commuters for 6 weeks or more. Not mentioned but expect the same to occur with the Eastbound platforms from January as they are in a similar state.
