Weir upgrades

I do hope that included in the extensive improvements of the Weir there will have been a thought given to wheelchair users. The pub and the garden are not accessible and neither are the toilets. I appreciate the difficulties with old buildings, like most of the rest of the pubs in Brentford, but if renovations and additions are proposed perhaps a ramped entrance and a disabled toilet could be incorporated within the scheme.

Totally agree. It should be accessible in the 21st century. Old or not the best efforts should be made. If they need help I'm an expert in making the built environment accessible. They can have my expertise/advice for free

e-bikes that are powered when going over 15.5mph are illegal (it's still possible to cycle faster than that speed using the pedals though). Police should be able to stop them, and I'd welcome a bit of a campaign to clamp down on them.

Have to say bikes particularly with motors scoot along at great speed and faster than 20mph in many cases.  I've had to jump back a couple of times trying to cross the cycle lane at bus stops.  Surely it's time for cameras to keep track of who exactly is using the cycle lanes - although with no ID for cyclists it would be hard to identify the culprits.

Cars and buses and trucks generally do not ride along pavements without lights or any visible apparatus including clothing, unseen and in two directions behind standing pedestrians.Now Mopeds and Motor scooters are also using the cycle tracks in any direction irrespective of the markings and the road so close that passing buses and trucks are clipping each other or mounting the kerbs.That's OK is it?Go and try for yourself.

How does the introduction of a cycle route on part of the carriageway make the situation worse?  I would have thought that the sheer volume of motor traffic in the High Road that constitutes the greatest danger to pedestrians and bus users.

Quite right. Far too many places becoming less accessible for those with lesser agility.Quite how the debacle of CS9 is supposed to be safe for pedestrians and Bus users is a shocking example of reversing the progress hard gained over the past 25 years.
