Jim Lawes and the Brentford Festival Volunteers

As we prepare for our first planning meeting tonight I have been reminded by one of our 21 year old volunteers who has asked after past volunteers and in particular Jim Lawes.Over the years Jim put so much personal effort as a volunteer for the festival and in particular pounding most of Brentford with flyers putting them in to letter boxes.  Also we remember all the little animations posted.So here is to you Jim Lawes, thank you for your support and hope that you are well.   Linda Massey - Event Manager

That's a very flattering posting Linda ... but thank you.The Brentford Festival's in the past ... held in Boston Manor were truly memorable. Crowds galore and great atmospheres.The pathways heaving with people visiting the many staff. You marshalled a great team and is much respected for your fine leadership.One recalls other helpers too. Dear Virginina Fastnidge (RIP) on.her hands and knees marking out the plots for eager stallholders etc.Pity it's not so easy posting pictures on the Forum these days. The animations were fun to produce
