Steve Curran MBE

Just wanted to say how sad I was to hear of the passing of former leader, David Curran MBE.I didn’t know Mr Curran personally, only having moved to the borough in August 2022. From what I read though, he seemed a jolly decent guy. . Rest in peace

It was always striking to hear people who were politically opposed to him speak so warmly about him. Note, this was well before his cancer diagnosis and stepping down as leader. I am very confident that the tributes being paid to him are 100% genuine.

A sad ending for Steve' ...about which he must have found daunting.  He had a formitable life both inside and outside politics.I'm saddened by the happening.May he be at peace.

I've met him a few times and found him a humble - yet strong willed and really nice chap. He always wanted to make things right and do good for the borough.. rip Steve
