Hi, Just to let everyone know that our Christmas lights may not go up this year.It is a shame as we have been putting them up for over 16 years. We have collected for numerous charities over the years. We have been paying for all the lights and the running costs out of our own pocket, so every penny that we collected went to charity. But unfortunately this year due to the price increase of the electricity we just can’t afford to run them this year.It was costing us a lot more to run and upkeep the lights than we collected, so we thought that we would just give money to a charity if we can’t get a sponsor / sponsors. We tried toys r us and Tesco’s to see if they would sponsor us to help with the running costs as they are just round the corner from us, Toys R Us flatly refused and you just can’t get to see anyone in Tesco’s they told us to write in to the store manager we couldn’t even get to see him.Hopefully we will find a sponsor in time, but if not I would just like to thank all the people that supported us with there donations for the different charities over the years. We wish you all a Merry Christmas From Sue and Mick 21 Convent way Southall
