Thank you to the staff of starlight and SCBU.

Today Debbie and I went to the starlight ward and the special baby unit at West Middlesex hospital to hand over what we had raised from the Halloween party.It was a lovely feeling for me to see the staff in SCBU as without them my son Alfie And my goddaughter Tyzja would not be here today. I saw an incubator in the corridor and found it hard to believe that Alfie had once been so tiny that even the incubator seemed huge compared to him. It is truly amazing how hard the staff in Starlight and SCBU work to look after our children. During the last year there where 310 admissions into SCBU and during this year the total of special babies has risen to 350 and still counting. The gifts and the amount we had raised were well appreciated.The  staff then informed us of what kind of items are needed. we were then horrified to discover that important items such as 3 baby car chairs were not returned during the last year as well as a Portable Medely Symphony Breastpump on loan to the special baby unit for a trial purpose, was taken since the spring. The special baby unit is now left  to pay the company £1000 for the missing pump. I am so saddened by this news. Debbie and I will continue to do our best to raise funds for both the Starlight ward and SCBU.And with all my heart I thank all the staff for all their efforts and hard work in caring for the special children and babies.

hi all thanks for all the comments and to matt for putting us on the main page thanks jim and simon for doing the photos for usit was a great feeling to hand over the presents, vouchers and money all our hard efforts paid of. but really sad to hear that people have stolen items from both the baby unit and starlight ward this really saddens me.cheers Debbie

Ahhh Shame!!  Short outfits? Now your teasing me.....lolNo seriously we deffinatly will have to hook up and discuss what we can do next year I am deff up for another Jump to raise money if you are still up 4 it?Lets get Xmas out the way and New Year (God New Year still got nothing booked my first year without the kids and no where to go how sad..ha ha)Let me know when your Free to meet up and we can sit down and come up with some ideas for Nxt Year!!Si x

hi ya, sounds like you had fun at the concert.very glad that the money collected is for starlight and GOSH.Am looking quite rough these days i'm still recovering from the car accident and i've got a cold as well. (I'm just using that as an excuse!)ha!ha!ha!like the idea of a costume pub crawl but i think i'll have to bring a blanket because my costumes are on the short side!HA!HA!HA!let me know whatever you want me to help you with,i can design you some posters etc.i can also do banners as well.i have Alfie with me all the time but i am sure that we can come up with other ideas as well,like stand just in the doorway, put a big sign on Alfie and get him to pester all the customers to part with their money! HA!HA!ONLY JOKING. really i'm only joking.take carehave funIna.xxx

Hellllllooooo...........Just got in from 1 of my Childrens School Concert.Every year the local school Shivon and My Boy go to have Concerts at Xmas and after they collect money for Charity and this years Charity is Starlight Ward and GOSH which is Fantastic...I saw the other pic you are better lookin in that one then the 1 today ha ha...better looking then me lolYeah we can deff do somethings together next year for Starlight I understand Debs has Dress up outfits at home maybe we can dress up and do a pub crawl?Also I am registering to collect money outside our Local tesco Next Year for GOSH if your intrested in helping?Simon x

hi simon,i think there is another photo of me on the main page where mat put the photo's of the halloween party, i look a bit strange though because of the green things in my hair.Debs and I were totally disgusted when we found out how many things had gone missing. the pump cost more than we had even been able to raise and we worked so hard for that.I've just been looking at the photo's that i have of Alfie in the incubator and we took a photo of him now standing next to one.It's truely amazing and there aren't enough words to describe how grateful i am.if you need any help at all with the funding raising just give me a shout, i'm not as talented as our Debbie but i'm getting there whilst in her company!ha!ha!ha!Ina.xxx

InaLoved the Pictures which I posted on another thread good to see what you look like at last its always good to put a face to a name ha ha.I heard yesterday from the Playroom assistant that someone stole there 4 Game Cube games for there Console and now they have none.Who ever stolen these items don't deserve to be in the Hospital as they are taking from sick Children they should be ashamed of themselfs to Steal from those who nursed there Children back to health.I will be doing more Fund raising next year for starlight ward also in hope to buy some of these games for them.Keep up the good work!!Simon x x
