Filming again???

Are we not able to get a part refund for our annual parking permit when we have days taken up where we are prohibited from parking and fined if we do in our road? 6 whole days and a big percentage of Netley road again suspended parking due to filming.I wonder where all the residents are expected to park. It seems incredibly unfair after paying £90 for the year and then 3 Weeks of it so far we haven't been able to use it. I just wonder who are the best people or department to contact about it. Apologies for the moan.

Meanwhile, the filming at The Griffin was, I was told by one of the security men, for a new series to be called The Girlfriend. I don't suppose that ties in with the Mitford story.

The filming is for a series about the Mitford sisters so perhaps the production company is taking a leaf out of their book and designating local residents non-U.

I have raised it with Shivraj.grewal@hounslow.gov.uk the lead member for parking.At the very least we (councillors as well as residents) told in advance and the reason for this communicated. I was in the Butts last evening and there some gentlemen in evening coats and a mobile traditional phone box in attendance, plus a pre war car. I didn't hang around because for reasons connected to a damaged bike I was in my car and didn't feel welcome :)

Yes BT advert filmed in Kew ....all residents inconvenienced with vans/lorries etc got a nice bottle of wine.

Besides a refund for their lost parking slots, it might help if affected residents got some other benefit from filming in their street, like money, rather than the Council pocketing the fee.

Just ask yourselves this:  Who is the film company paying to be allowed to film there?  No doubt a handsome payment has been made to the London Borough of Hounslow.  You should not have to forfeit your paid-for parking rights without some form of recompense from LBH!

This is totally unacceptable when residents have paid for parking permits. Hounslow does not care enough to provide alternative arrangements and further confirms their anti motorist approach.

As you may have observed ...Netley Road has been quite chock-block with film vehicles today.Even after darkness tonight a 5 ton/10 ton vehicle is parked with NO lights and causing a bit of a hazard / and a pinchpoint. The lorry is wider than the parking bay and extends well into the "live" roadway.Someone must be hiring out their home to the film industry!In recent times ... a house in Mission Square was a similar filming location.

Filming yet again in the Butts parking area. Going to be so bad one evening, the film company has offered to put people up in a local hotel. Hounslow Council is not run for the residents of Hounslow.

The same outfit have booked half of Ealing Road and Albany Road. This is the 3rd time in a year. Not one thought for the residents
