RIP Herbie Flowers

Bassist extraordinaire and occasional tuba virtuoso has risen to join the heavenly orchestra. Born in Isleworth and a session musician on so man tracks. Best remembered though as a founding member of Sky, CCS and Blue Mink. Also notable work with Marc Bolan and T Rex. Rest in Peace Mister Bassman.

Herbie also played the iconic bass line on Lou Reed's hit Walk on the Wild side and was the song writer for Clive Dunn's song Grandad.
