ive just been on chiswickw4 will people stop giving michael a hard time let him get on with what he is doing if you dont know him personally don't judge him

I was thinking more of what in recent years he has been famous for. Not so much of being gay but for hosting very dubious parties in his own home resulting in his career in tatters. But of course, he could not give any evidence in the inquest just in case he incrimidated himself. Says quite a lot about the man.

Well said Bernadette. My final view on this so called "MAN" is at the inquest into Mr Lubbocks death the coroner returned an open verdict.Mainly because Mr Barrymore exercised his right to rufuse to answer questions at the inquest in case he incriminated himself. The man should never have been allowed back on TV...or back into public life for that matter. The mere fact that he excercised that right says a lot about the "MAN".

I used to enjoy Barrymore but many years ago.  For at least a couple of years before the "incident" he appeared to have gone barking mad behaving like a total lunatic at an assortment of award ceremonies, he came out of the closet when frankly he should have stayed in it and was constantly in or on the news as a result of some seedy expose or the other finally of course culminating in the fatal party.  I do not necessarily have any strong views about his guilt or innocence I simply find him embarrasing rather than amusing.I watched BB for the first time last Wednesday and was frankly sickened to see him wimpering and (in my opinion) pretend crying at every available opportunity even stating he "wanted his mum" aah, and that would be the mum he wanted nothing to do with for years, PLEASE!  I wouldn't give the man airspace and I personally hope he is the first one voted out.  He made his money years ago and if he's broke now - tough!

He wasn't proved innocent - I don't think there is such a ruling in any court. He was found not guilty but very few people actually believe this. When I posted originally I presumed there were some similarities between the Barrymore case and that of OJ Simpson but there aren't really. He very much doubt if he would be welcome. Its no coincidence that his career has nosedived since the trial.And I understand the Los Angeles Police Dept our still looking for the murderer.I wonder how many suspects they have come up with since the original trial ?

Well said Ina..I agree the poor parents should no the Truth and I think MB should meet them and if he Knows anything he should not just tell them but the Police so at least the Parents can Put it to rest and move on with there Lives.But you must agree that there s a saying Inocent untill proven Guilty..MB should not be judged by any of us but in a Court of Law and if he is Guilty he will be punished.Since that horrible life he has left the Country gave up on fame lost all his fortune so he has been punished (he has punished him self) maybe he left and gave up on his major carear to give the parents a chance to grief etc..

Im not saying he should be charged however if you were that poor mans parents would you not want the truth to come out of what really happened that night ? After all it happened in Barrymores house !!! If it was in your house would you not think people would quite rightly hope that you would have some control about what was going on ?yes the poor man's parents should know the truth about it, but if something like that went on in my house i'd like to know what happened too.if he had a big house in which he held a party for approx 50 guests or more he can't keep an eye on each and everyone of them, he expected them to behave like responsible adults. if he was guilty of what had happened do you really think that he would violently sexually assault and murder someone and leave the body in his own swimming pool to be found?Don't you think he pays in the price of emotional trauma each and everyday because of an accident that occurred at his home.

weren't they jessamy's words?i don't think you can really compare adolf hitler and saddam hussein with michael barrymore!he wasn't charged with anything and each and every adult is responsible for their own actions and not the actions of others. I very much doubt he wanted someone to actually die in his own pool. I would class it as a life's ambition.No if you have never made a mistake, never accidently harmed another person,not that i am saying that MB did, but then feel free to cast the first stone!

Ive never met Gary Glitter,Adolph Hitler or Saddam Hussein but I have an opinion of them. And Barrymore is certainly somebody I would not like to meet !!! And Im sure the parents of the poor man who died with violent homosexual injuries to his body IN BARRYMORES POOL IN HIS HOUSE would not want to meet him either.
