Quote from tonights BBC news siteA judge has granted a former solicitor permission to bring a private prosecution against Michael Barrymore in connection with a man's death. Stuart Lubbock, 31, died after being found unconscious in Mr Barrymore's swimming pool in Essex in March 2001. Anthony Bennett will bring six charges which relate to the supply and possession of drugs, and assault. Mr Barrymore is a Celebrity Big Brother contestant and its producers have been handed details of the prosecution. At Epping magistrates on Monday, district judge John Greaves was given 77 pages detailing the charges. The judge said that as this was an unusual case, it was proper that Mr Barrymore be informed of the action against him. The six charges are: being drunk and disorderly, possession of a class B drug, supply of a class B drug, possession of a class A drug, supply of a class A drug and assaulting Stuart Lubbock.
