More temp lights on the High St

Over the past few days the lights by TallowRoad were out. Oh joy oh bliss High St traffic flowed beautifully. Alas today they were replaced by yes, another set of temp lights. Brentford is a joke.

Brentford high street unsafe to cross.1. The main crossing in the middle of Brentford High street nr. specsavers is currently marked “Not in use”. 2. The pavement opposite the other main crossing nr the Beehive is also completely fenced off. I saw pedestrians (including a mother and children) walking along the roadside against oncoming traffic this evening. This makes both crossings unsafe. This needs to be addressed urgently before someone is injured.

Had this very same conversation with Cllr Lambert on here in another thread a couple of years back about the 5 unnecessary traffic light sets in Brentford High Street and absolutely nothing done about it.

Both the permanent and temporary traffic lights are completely unnecessary and yes, I understand they are due to be removed when the cycle lane is pushed through.

I thought I read a few years ago that the lights at Tallow road would be removed during the re development of Brentford south side.
