How many people are aware of the Community Hub in Brentford? It runs on Fridays from 10am to 2pm.I am interested in what people think of this, whether they visit it and what they think of it.

Thanks Anne, but obviously I won't be doing that. The OP posed the question 'How any people are aware? of the hub.The answer is more now that those who were not aware know where it is.

Well now you can spread the word. The Community Hub (Brentford Library), to the best of my memory, has been running for a good two years.

Thanks David. One might think the location should have been included in the op so everyone is clear where it is.

Whilst the idea of a "Community Hub" is a good one. Having it here on a Friday is a total waste of time. The library is closed on a Friday so no footfall. Plus very few people walk past this area. One of my neighbours wanted someone from housing two weeks ago no one turned up. Ideally the under used Digital Dock would be ideal.

It never appears to me that there is much happening. It nevertheless seems a good initiative and as long as the staff are getting on with other work while there (are they?) i think it is worth persevering. It surely must be a good thing to bring the Council to the people so to speak. How to up the number of visitors is another thing. An exception to not much happening is the Citizen's Advice (monthly?) visit. I saw a no. of people sitting round in the lobby once and it appeared that they were queuing for this service.I wonder how the drop in health bus - blood pressure checks etc - fares. It would be interesting to know how the hubs at other libraries fare.
