Andy Burnham once worked in Brentford !

I had seen Andy Burnham in Brook Road South years ago at the time of Mr and Mrs Keen's headache , when squatters took over their home following the "MP's Expenses row. He uttered words as he walked by.An article in a recent Sunday Times newspaper said the he had once worked in Brentford at a Company called "Baltic Publications" ...particularly on a magazine to do with "tanks and containers"!For interest only ... does anyone recall that Company?Was it located on the corner of York Road and Brook Lane North?As you will know ... the gentleman is targetting to become Prime Minister!

He would be a terrible Prime Minister as would any Labour Party member! The Labour Party doesn’t have a positive plan for the UK. They are bent on destruction by encouraging benefits, benefits and more benefits. You need a Reform Government with a Conservative opposition.

Thank you for all your replies ... most interesting.From what Elizabeth has said ... Mr Burnham is likely to have worked at an office in the old Pyrene Building.Would he be suitable as a Prime Minister??

When Andy Burnham was Sports Minister, back in the early 2000s (I think!- my memory isn't what it used to be!), he came to Brentford  to learn about the wonderful work that Brentford FC Community Sports Trust, headed by Lee Doyle,did with young people, including disabled children.

In fact, the magazine in question was indeed 'Tank World' -  the title just sprang into my head. For all I know, Andy Burnham might have been the person interviewing me :-) How funny.

I had a job interview with this company once! As a staff writer for a trade magazine about containers - didn't get it though. As the earlier poster mentioned, it was down on the Great West Road between Brentford and Chiswick, so far as I recall. In my mind it's mixed up with Alfa-Laval but it was probably a separate company - it was ages ago and the old brain-pan ain't as retentive as it useta be.

According to Companies House it is based in Gateshead and produces magazines about the football industry. It is loss making and doesn't mention Burnham. The Brentford thing sounds more like something related to Alfa Laval and Baltic Tower, but can't find any reference

Baltic Publications used to be in Westlink House, 981 Great West Road, Brentford, back in 2020.
