Yes, I’ve noticed it too - a mixture of TCP and hot tarmac. It’s been there for ages. I’m not sure about nice… I find it very unpleasant indeed. We were also fascinated by the origin of the smell in the Costa/Sainsbury’s/bus stop area next to Kew Bridge, although that one was was much more identifiably drain-y. We grew to dread the bus doors opening. If it was horrible for those on the bus, it must have been appalling for the people who live there.
