I hope you did get it back but…why put it outside on the road, in the first place? Hounslow is very good at clearing up peoples clutter and dumped treasures (which around here always seem to include their favourite mattress or favourite fridge). A note to the Fix my street app and they seem to clear it away the same day it is reported.Otherwise we have a wealth of charity shops. The 267 taking you into Twickenham gives you a variety of Charity shops along Heath Road. The H37 drops you off just before Richmond bridge for the same (plus the well known Fara children’s charity shop. We go here often and park in the Lidl car park across the road from Princess Alice, Mind, Fara adults, and Fara kids.Princess Alice in Hounslow has their own drop off bay outside their back door. We always ring to make sure they expect us.The 65 bus and you are in Ealing with several charity shops spread around the centre of town. The Oxfam people gave a dedicated book shop on the Green. We have off loaded a few hundred books there by parking in the main central car park, borrowing a supermarket trolley to wheel to the shop, then taken the trolley back. If you borrow a marks trolley then they still have a restaurant you could duck into when returning the trolley. Otherwise, there are plenty of coffee shops to restock your energy levels. If your bin is totally full the refuse people aren’t jobsworths and a polite note on your bin with a thank you might see your extras taken off to the furnace.Otherwise, we all share our garden bins, so a neighbour doing a clear out can fill ours which is empty this week and ditto, should we need extra capacity.Easiest visit of all is to the recycling centre at Townmead Road, Kew. You do have to book but no long queues. I avoid the Spaceway one in Feltham, if I can, because of the stairs to the skips.. It is no joke humping a heavy bag up them.Townmead Road, Kew, has low level skips and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We often wonder what the estate agents make up to describe the recycling centre when they sell the multi £illion properties the other side of the wall.By the way, I do hope you got your picture back.Sarah
