One of the few ‘perks’ left to drivers is the ability to identify that pesky traffic warden, bearing down on you. The hat clinches it, but the rest of the uniform helps too.Had a double take yesterday in College Road, at the junction with Ridgeway Road.A pedestrian was wandering slowly towards me at the junction, on the pavement, deeply concentrating on a machine in his hands. I am sure I saw a photo being taken. He had a white shirt on and black trousers but this road leads up to the Court. He did another twirl and I realised he was in cognito and watching a politely parked builders van opposite.Can we not expect the wardens (or whatever they are called these days) to be visible?
