My letter of Thanks to The New York Dental Practise Brentford
Thank You New York Dental PractiseI’m 35 and I have been nervous of the dentist since I was small. My first dentist terrified me and I felt I never got over it, regardless of how I tried to explain away my psychological fears and calm myself.I avoided the dentist putting up with extreme pain rather than walk through that door.My heart pounded when I reach the door to the surgery and many hours before, and I don’t like the time waiting for the dentist in the waiting room were I could see the dreaded chair, hear very ‘dentistry’ sounds and smell ‘dentistry’ smells.Just the thought of the dentist, and I go funny, I walk in the room it spins, I get panicky, I start hyperventilating and the tears start flowing, I am literally terrified!!, I wish I wasn’t my stomach is in knots just thinking about the dental treatment.My fears were also related to the drilling and the vibration in my head, when they called my name and ask me in I would sit on my hands, with tears running down my cheeks.I was passing my fears on to my children and used to get my mother or friends to take them for me. I decided enough was enough I made the appointment after being recommended by a nervous friend (which was an achievement in itself) how could I be so scared of something that everyone else did every six months?I finally found one that I completely trusted THE NEW YORK DENTAL PRACTICE BRENTFORD.I knew it was different from the moment I walked in the office itself looked so calming and not like the normal dentist it had a big TV to watch and it had a nice calming smell and funky music playing. I met Angie the receptionist who was so friendly she made me feel that we had been friends for years which was so nice, helpful and comforting. Then I met Hanel my new dentist.I am really pleased that I have found THE NEW YORK DENTAL PRACTICE as I am no longer afraid to go the the appointments, check ups and no longer have the fear of walking through that door, I have even brought the children for the check ups.I would recommend this practice to all nervous and terrified patients out there.Thank you againDebbie Dewar
