Help PLEASE!

Does anyone know of anyone that I could give my Tax assessment form to, together with the paperwork, to fill out, I keep on putting it off and now the fine is looming.  I will pay the going rate for anybody that could help me out.  I just am not a mathematically minded person.Thanks for anyone that can helpBestEmma

I think you might be too late to avoid a fine if you are talking about the tax year to April 2005!The main work in filling out a tax assessment form is gathering all the bits of paper that you need and an accountant can't really do that. There are good software programmes that you can buy and I think the Inland Revenue has a free on-line service. I use Tax Calc which you can download and it only cost about £20.The people on the Self Assessment Help Line are incredibly helpful and not out to catch you out. My suggestion would be to have a go at doing it yourself and if you are not confident with the outcome at least you will have all the relevant documentation for your accountant.

Have you tried to do it online? It is far easier than doing it paper based as it does the maths for you
