Meadow Planting in Boston Manor Park

It may be raining as I write this but a reminder to all of you out there that Spring is around the corner and today (Friday), Saturday and Sunday the local community will be helping plant 16,000 plugs in a new meadow.  10.30 - 3.00 if you can make it on any of these days during these times it would be good to see you.  Fridays volunteers include pupils from Gunnersbury Boys School and staff from GlaxoSmithKline alongside Friends of Boston Manor and CIP.  BE THERE - DO YOUR SHARE   Please.

Sorry I missed it as I was away - I would have liked to help. So glad you got plenty of volunteers. Will keep an eye out for any future opportunities.

The three days went very well with over 60 people turning out to help.  We managed to plant 13,040 plugs out of the 16,000 so not at all bad really. Young kids also sprinkled 25 kg of seed which looked like fun.  We made lots of new friends and on behalf of the Friends of Boston Manor - thanks to everyone who joined in and/or gave moral support.  The remainder of the plugs will be planted by CIP staff very soon.
