Thank goodness for the front page!

Strike action today stops refuse collection....Residents are therefore requested not to put their rubbish out on Tuesday, as it will not be collected until next week.

My Tuesday collection was eventually collected on Friday (less of course what the sqirrel and fox had taken) but does anyone know if the 'Tuesday collection' is back to normal now? The Council seem to be keeping it a secret.

Hi Gerry.The Green boxes aren't affected here - but the front page said that the rubbish wouldn't be collected on Tuesday - and to keep it until next week - meaning off the street and back where it is kept safely?The Hounslow web page said the same - but I have been told that people ringing in to ask about the collection are advised to leave it out as it will be picked up later in the week! - because of this the bags are being left outside on the pavement!Mixed, or what?  Does anyone know ?  I have helped a few neighbours put their bags back inside so if they are coming later in the week, I need to go and get the bags back out again!

This message ain't mixed; its clear and simple.Here in our part of sunny Ealing, Wednesday is 'green box' collection day. We put it out for today, thinking that the strike might mean that it wouldn't be collected today. Lo and behold, the 'green box' men came, they saw and they emptied our box! Well done Ealing Council! But we still think the Council Tax is too high.

People who ring the Council are being told the rubbish will be collected and they should leave it out (foxes cats and squirrels will have a field day).Hounslows web sites message has gone - so what is happening?  Bags of rubbish everywhere!
