Hounslow Homes Oscars article

As a leaseholder with Hounslow Homes as my landlord, I was very interested in the newsletter item: http://chiswickw4.com/default.asp?section=info&spage=common/conhouse04.htmI recognised the types of issues described in the blog reference that the article contains (at http://boroughwatch.blogspot.com/ )which appears to illustrate a series of issues following refurbishment work and was surprised to read that, when asked by chiswick4.com for their view of the blog, Hounslow Homes responded with information about a 'freephone number for repairs' which, to me, seems to be missing the point somewhat. The blog is asking for other Hounslow Residence to come forward - I don't think it will be short of material for its promised 'weekly updates'!

Thank you very much for your interest in our issues with Hounslow Homes Ltd and the management of their contractors. Apologies for the delay in replying - I have been away from my PC this afternoon/evening. My address is:Lawrence O'Connor40 Pinkham MansionsBrooks RoadLondon W4 3BQ My ward is Chiswick Riverside.Councillor Felicity Barwood contacted me and, after very kindly following up with Hounslow Homes Ltd managed to get an agreement sent by them that contractors will be sent out tomorrow to repair the repair to the new pipe which they recently installed in the first place. This issue of the leaking soil pipe is just the tip of a massive iceberg of residual issues that we, the residents in properties managed by Hounslow Homes Ltd, have to contend with on an almost daily basis and so anything you can do to help regarding the many, many of the issues which the this item is all too typical of would be very gratefully appreciated.Although by no means comprehensive, some indicators of the scope of the problem can be seen at:http://boroughwatch.blogspot.com

Doesn't Hounslow Homes complete incompetence in sorting out this problem just a few week's before an election sort of undermine the idea that they are in the Labour party's pockets. Wouldn't April be free-jacuzzi week for all tenants if it was the case rather than this festival of comedy.

On Tuesday I reported a repairs issue to the Hounslow Homes Ltd repairs dept regarding a long term leak to a soil pipe which, following a 'repair' that day from their contractors had begun leaking profusely.It is now Wednesday and we still have smelly, unhygenic ooze trickling down the outside of our building and out onto the paving.Despite many, many calls and emails to the repairs and complaints dept I have yet to receive my promised calls back or action to have it resolved so I have resorted to escalating to Chris Langstaff, the Director of Hounslow Homes Ltd.Let's see what happens...
