Blessed creatures. Have been having a challenging relationship with the critters over the years and now have found a way we can live together - the squirrels outside and me inside, with my pot plants sharing the squirrel’s territory.Boils down to having to completely change the soil in the planters as the squirrel takes offence at my planting new plants above some of his food stash, buried in the last years soil, and generally chucks them out of the pot. I used to get up the morning after I first filled the planters with the new plants and find the complete plant and soil ball, lying on the patio. If I still persisted in leaving the plants in the, sorry, His, planter he continued the onslaught throwing the soil around for good measure, which then spoilt the planters area.New earth and yes the grated soap (which makes everything look as if it has dandruff) appears to divert his attention to the flower beds. We have three squirrels who are really funny to watch cavorting around the garden and the trees. There are some intruders around who are quickly chased off as they are trying to move in after their trees were chopped down ready for another bungalow.
