What are his rights over Hounslw homes tenancy
My brother who was originally housed by Hounslow Council as a vulnerable person has found himself coming under increasing pressure from the powers that be at Hounslow Homes to sign their housing contract. The new contract seems to give him much less security of tenancy than he has with his existing agreement that he has with Hounslow council. As I understand the law, it is not legal to change his housing contract without his agreement, which he will not give and I do not blame him. Surely it must be illegal for Hounslow Homes to badger a vulnerable person over this issue when he has consistently refused to give it for several years now. If there is any one out there that can advice please reply on the forum or email me direct As I believe he has recently been given some more forms to fill out, I'm not sure what they are as yet as I haven't yet seen them. He has also been told to attend an appointment to discuss his tenancy. It all seems very dodgy to me, but there again having spoken to many of their tenants everything about Hounslow Homes and the handing over of council stock seems very dodgy to me!
