St. John's Road Bridge Closure

The implications of this on traffic are only just becoming clear to me after seeing the maps in HM. (I did wonder what was happening to the Zebra Crossing on London Road that is now no longer in use - preliminary works I guess).However the timescale for the diversion differs :The Brentford & Isleworth C'tee Agenda notes athttp://213.210.33.3/Published/C00000215/M00003090/AI00024134/$StJohnsRoadBridgeReportreceived160306.docA.ps.pdfsay "mid May for six months"but looking at TfL Journey Planner yesterday indicated that it was from "0900 Tuesday 30th May until Wednesday 28 February 2007 ".Do TfL know something more or are they just covering themselves for a few more contingencies ?Well more traffic chaos encourages me to use the bike, I suppose.Tim

It wasn't a shock to the residents of Amhurst Gardens because we informed them of the scheme through the newsletters which we issued during the recent campaign.However the consultation, although extensive in the immediate area, was patchy and this is something which I hope will be addressed by any new administration.

This is a bit of a nasty shock - particularly for the poor residents of Amhurst Gardens. Busch Corner will be even worse than ever.
