Brentford Sorting Office

My son today went to the Brentford Sorting Office to collect a "parcel" that the postman deemed too large to fit through the letterbox even though it was no larger then a standard letter! and also a registered letter which needed signing for but now appears lost since the postman took it back!!They told my son they will have a look for it later and "if" they find it,they will try to re-deliver it. Unbeleivable or has anything similar happened to you?

I had a birthday card sent to a friend go missing last week. That makes 3 in the last 2 yrs.I wouldn't be surprised if some unscrupulous postie thinks that, as it is obviously a card(pink/blue envelope and more rigid than a letter)there could be money in it and steals the card to find out.That is why( after having lost £20 in undelivered cards)I now send cheques instead of money.I never had any of these probs.until the last couple of years.Sign of the times or bad luck...you decide.
