Hi Jim.  The story I read was about a motor cyclist who fell off his bike and went on his way thinking he was uninjured - then later developed a blood clot in his brain and died. I think there was a call for some people who had been seen to stop and aid him, to come forward - I only read the story quickly, in passing..The reason for looking at this via a Cllr and the Safer neighbourhood team I think is the following - a great many of the call outs the Council receive are dealt with in isolation without taking an overview of the information.  Well that is my impression.I was worried if I e-mailed it in - it would be dealt with in this way.  They would nip out and clear the mess up and then rely on being told about it again before sorting the issue out, again, in isolation.  A preferable way would be for one of the regular people inspecting/travelling/working along the road to see the debris and identify the sort of issue which will need more frequent attention, before another death or serious accident occurs.  There must be Council workpeople wandering around the Borough who with eyes open and the remit, could spot this sort of thing.  Remit is probably the name of the game.Road deaths and serious injury on the road – when being caused by external factors must surely come within the remit of the Safer Neighbourhood team as well as the Councillors spanning the Gt West Road – in particular Brentford and Spring Grove.  If there are hot spots through Brentford & Isleworth then odds are there are similar patches all the way along?Whatsthisaboutthemknowingmyname?  ;-)
