I don't think you can blame football supporters for the amount of litter on that bridge when I crossed it last Sunday.  It looked to me as though the contents of a recycling box had been strewn from the Layton Road side right through to the Brook Road side.  There were newspapers and magazines and an inordinate number of drinks cans and bottles. Living as I do in Layton Road I have previously posted that I believe Layton Road to possibly be the dirtiest road in Brentford.  The council had a day about 6 weeks ago where they swept the road and it looked terrific for about 24 hrs.  At that time there was a skip in the road about the day after it had been swepped when I came home from work the whole road was strewn with polystyrene, plastic wrappers, papers etc. I have swept outside my house on several occasions but really it's all to no avail as the amount of litter and general dirt from traffic etc in that road(not to mention the droppages of the recycling and litter collections) makes me feel I am fighting a losing battle.  It can be very depressing living there.By the way, I know that the bin men have to start their rounds somewhere and I am usually up extremely early and in good time to put my rubbish out.  However this morning having been up later than usual last night I didn't wake up until 6.00a.m.  I immediately took my rubbish down for collection only to discover I had missed the binmen.  I prefer not to put the rubbish out the night before because of foxes etc., tearing the bags and distributing rubbish (as appeared to be the case next door this morning).  I now have to keep my rubbish for another week.
