Anyone coming cycling on Saturday?

From the LB Hounslow website:  The “Hounslow Family Cycle Ride” will be taking place on Saturday 24 June, and will set off from the Brent Lea Recreation Ground in Syon Park at 12:30.It is a two-hour ride and begins at 12:30 and the route will take in Syon and Osterley Parks, as well as a mile long section of Brentford Canal.Young people under 16 who want to take part must be accompanied by, or have written permission from, a parent or carer. The event will be suitable for children who have completed cycle training, and is good preparation for those who want to leave the car behind and cycle to secondary school. It should be enjoyable for cyclists of all ages.Entry to the event is free and refreshments will be available on the day. Dr Bike will be on hand to offer advice on maintenance and to make small repairs to ensure bikes are safe.

TimI'll send you some direct messages to your e-mail address..as you've obviously made progress on picture posting matters already...and I don't want to bore everyone else.I, with others, have spelt out this subject in great detail on many previous occasions on the Ealing Forum (where there are many experts hiding!)and on this Brentford Forum..and of course there are many reams on W4.com. I don't think there is a FAQ thread..as we all taught ourselves..in late life..most of us being oldies!

Well the <<>> didn't work.What do I do to get an image displayed ?http://www.freeimghosting.com/images/birdfancier/p1151265093217.jpgAnd I should have given credit to the kids including 7 year old TigerHelmet for their efforts in the adventure. It does show them that you can get from one side of the borough to the  other without an engine.

Well I enjoyed it and I didn't hear any moans from the other 50. Cheers to Mark and the team for the organisation and to the splendid police on bikes for shepherding us across the A4 and other potential troublespots.No-one fell in the canal (though I was told the risk assessment included taking a rope along in case).<<>>might be my poor phonecamera pic of the rest break to replenish energy.I'm hoping the official snaps taken by Chris and the team are better!I hadn't seen the knot sculptures in the GlaxoSK canal garden before. Perhaps Jim can take the pictures and identify the knots for us. (And the graffiti on the otherwise white-washed walls at Osterley Lock could be another Community Payback venue sometime!)
