Mogden Legal Action - Latest
Dear Editor The Mogden Residents Action Group (MRAG) have asked me to post this on your forum. It went out to the press a little while ago so apologies for the delay but I only have time for this sort of thing over weekends. However there may be readers of the TW8 forum who are interested in TW7 issues and who are eligible to join the Group Action for compensation. Dear Residents Complaints against Thames Water's Mogden operation for the first half of June have increased by more than 700% on complaints for the same period last year. If Thames Water continue to operate the site in the same manner it is expected that 2005 complaints for June will be exceeded considerably as odour management and mosquito control deteriorate. Residents' complaints have been forwarded to Thames Water and Hounslow Council / Richmond Council for investigation and response.Thames Water have advised that it will no longer respond to complaints received via MRAG. Hounslow Council have advised that there were no operational problems at the sewage works and it is not possible to provide an understanding and explanation for each odour complaint specific to the location particularly given the size of the site!!! In light of the recent massive increase in both odour and mosquito complaints we find these remarks quite astounding and they raise many serious questions but in the meantime MRAG have been asked if it is too late to join the Group Action Claim for compensation and an injunction. We can advise that It may not be too late for you to join in the legal action but following the cut off date anyone wishing to join the Mogden Group Litigation will need to make an application to the Court for permission. If you wish to join please contact Hugh James Solicitors and ask to speak to one of the Mogden Team 01685 371122.Please remember to log your complaints via MRAG by email complaints@mogden.org.uk or mrag27@aol.comRegardsMRAGFor latest information on Mogden Residents Action Group go to OnLine Communities Ltd Website www.mogden.org.uk For News and Views on local community issues visit http://www.twickenham-online.co.uk/
