Yes .... An ill informed comment Anne.Sven and the boys lost - no surprise though. Sad but not unexpected.If I had 5 million a year I think I could shag Ullrika no problem.

John,Maybe I spoke in haste after a gut-wrenching end to our World Cup hopes, but Rooney leaves me cold, and he loses his temper far too easily.

"Rooney?  From day one I have thought of him only as a football talented thug."Come on Anne - Rooney was one of the few England players who seemed to care and the sending off was questionable to say the least. It could easily have gone the other way with a free kick to Rooney. It seemed to me that he was trying to extract his foot from the Portuguese player's privates rather than trying to stamp on him. Like the rest of the England team, he was really the victim of Sven's appalling tactical blunders and selections.

I have to admit Ann that I only watched from about the 81st minute of play. England didn't appear to have the enthusiasm to win in the shoot outs. The commentators here were terrible; they kept getting the names of the players mixed up.

It is a real shame - we could have done so well.Thank god Sven is going now - perhaps we'll hear what some people really thought of his rubbish tactics - they certainly played themselves out fully here today.Steve McClaren??? - He should get rid of that silly bit of hair for a start.

      E-N-G-L-A-N-D!!!!!!!(Imagine me yelling the above;  this is my contribution to  the thread).  I'm now collecting my little flag, and some goodies to take around to the Knight household where a bunch of we Brits will be cheering on the lads.Bye bye finger nails, hello mild heart attack and high blood pressure.Let's just hope for a good game and a win for England!

Lampard or Cole - they can always be brought on if we have a lead to protect.Alternatively, play Gerrard or Lampard further forward.Just seems that Rooney is a touch isolated up front all on his own. We need early goals but I know Sven's ideal formation would be 6,6,1 - if FIFA would allow.

FIFA = CorruptI'll be up at 1am watching, 2-1 to England. Portugal will try and cheat their way into the semi's, this time it wont work.

I think it'll be a close one. Sven's tactics are the real prob.Carrick should be starting - and there should be 2 up front I think (Crouch a third option).Gonna be a great game and I hope we're going to get through.Figo and Fifa are such pricks.
