Brentford and Isleworth  front gardens (2006)

You will recall that we have previously toured the streets of dear Brentford and admired the efforts of many residents and others to make their front gardens a delight to the eye. And we've published pictures before too.  Several Forum posters have learnt the technique to post pictures..so can they certainly join in if they are able to.We've done this several years running now. (type FRONT GARDENS into FORUM SEARCH)...and it's an opportunity to cheer up the Forum a bit..and try to recapture some interest in TW8.com!!Please recommend any addresses we should have a look at...we have some to revisit...and let's hope that water restrictions haven't had too much of an adverse effect.

I'm very lucky Edward to have a friend who has looked after the garden for me ..and I must say it's a treasure...and even the visit of a heron is becoming more regular.Here is another one below..photo taken through the window!Holly: can you send me a picture to jimlawes@hotmail.comor the address and I can then post a snap!

Ooh, I'd like to nominate my friend's garden - though it's more of a side garden really. Since she moved in last year she's cleared what used to be scrubby communal 'gardens' full of rubbish, and planted dozens of beautiful plants and flowers, many grown from cuttings donated by friends. She's done it all singlehandedly, and has really brightened up the whole area. The roses are just gorgeous today!

It's a rare event to see a heron in my back garden..usually a couple of times a year. So last week I had to grab the camera fast and take this snap..through the kitchen window..before I disturbed him. He's after the fish and frogs!

After a trip to the Robin Grove Rec, you're unlikely to miss this colourful front garden in the adjoining road. I remember it from previous years. Perhaps it's time to move on..after the recent turmoil!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooThe hose pipe restrictions have certainly hampered front gardens this year..but there are still colourful treats hidden away in the back streets of Brentford and Isleworth.Regular care is needed to keep hanging baskets looking good..and this one, in my view, is a gem.
