The pace is hotting up on theyworkforyou.com :1. Ann Keen PPS (Rt Hon Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer), HM Treasury, Brentford & Isleworth, Labour) Hansard sourceTo ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what plans he has to change the funding available to the social fund funeral scheme. James Plaskitt (Parliamentary Under-Secretary, Department for Work and Pensions) Hansard sourceThe regulated social fund of which the funeral payment scheme is a part is not cash limited or subject to budgetary constraints.Funeral payments from the social fund cover the cost of certain necessary charges in full; these include fees levied by burial authorities and crematoria. An additional sum of up to £700 is allowed for other funeral expenses, which give the person arranging the funeral the freedom to select items or services they consider appropriate. Although there are no plans to make changes to the funeral payment scheme at this time the level of help is kept under review.2. Ann Keen (PPS (Rt Hon Gordon Brown, Chancellor of the Exchequer), HM Treasury, Brentford & Isleworth, Labour) Hansard sourceTo ask the Secretary of State for Health what assessment she has made of the change in patient waiting times in the constituency of Brentford and Isleworth since 1997.(My cut and paste skills aren't up to displaying the carefully tabulated data that seems to tell a good story.  Can anyone do better withhttp://www.theyworkforyou.com/wrans/?id=2006-05-22c.71095.h&s=speaker%3A10330#g71095.q0?)
