Brook Road who cleans the bridge

On Tuesday the 18/07/2006 the BRENTFORD SAFER NEIGHBOURHOOD TEAM along with the PAYBACK scheme team started work on clearing up the area around     the footbridge on the Layton Road side, you can now see right under the tree so hopefully this will stop people hiding under there to drink etc. also they started to clean up the piece of ground next to the houses. Oweing to the very high temperatures on the day we had to leave some work to be done on another day to be arranged.Our thanks go to the neighbouring factory for the use of their facilitys.The rail company will need to do the clean up on the sides of the tracks to help improve the area.

EdwardThanks for reporting that some action has been taken to improve that disgraceful bridge and surrounding area.As you know there was a previous thread on this Topic ..and I posted pictures on that too.Thank goodness I don't live near there..but just make the occasional visit to the cafe (which is recommended!). Having to cross that bridge daily must be so depressing  and one even suspects it must be a health risk too.What the bridge needs is a disinfectant high pressure spray..and wash..to clean those walls of possible urine stains and smells..and to remove the dust and dirt and weeds.It's amazing to think that this is hardly even done!!I called there yesterday..to visit the cafe..and to see the Bridge..and I was shocked at the graffiti additionally.Whatever you do will be an improvement... we will watch this space.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooopoorish photos in bright sunlight..apologies!oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooend
