Robin Grove clean up by Safer Neighbourhood Team

Once again the Brentford Safer Neighbourhood Team with the PAYBACK SCHEME and CIP have managed to clear up a corner of the park at the bottom of Robin Grove, which was a concern to local residents and people having lunch in the park from the nearby offices. The area concerned was used by undesirables to hide out. I have taken some photos and hope Jim Lawes will post them on the forum for me as I haven't got the hang of it yet. Once again it is a start only small but as we get PAYBACK off the ground more things will get done. And thanks again to the support of the Brentford PCSO's that also gave their time on the day here and at Brook Road.

AllCan anybody please tell me if CIP have been to clear the branches up that were cut back on the first clean up.

Thanks for the information Edward...about your camera.If you right click on any picture posted in cyberspace you can see it's PROPERTIES...or if you right click and click VIEW IMAGE you will get the "jpg" code.  Then you are halfway there.Then add the codes that Richard Jennings listed recently:img src= at the front    etc etcThis is a scene in Boston Manor Park at last year's festival:Here is the picture code:http://www.freeimghosting.com/images/helsinki/p1125862058151.jpgAnd here is the picture:(hopefully)(I've just added the thingies)

Jim The camera I use is a Fuji Filmfix digital I got from Jessops about a year or so ago for £179:00 it is nothing special just luck in useing it no bells or whistles on it point and go.

Your pictures were very clear Edward..whereas mine, in this hot weather at the end of the day..seem a bit cloudy. Perhaps it's me or have I damaged..or not cleaned.. my IXUS 500?I was wondering what camera you were using.There was a homely feel to that secret Recreation Ground..and the graffiti seemed to fit in well I thought!!  Whoever does it knows they are doing it to their own little secret den...and they've got to live with it!

All I did was to take the photos for the Safer Neighbourhood Team it was the members of Brentford Police (PCSO's you know the one's people say do not do anything worth while) and the Probation service team of young offenders doing community service who worked very hard that day. Yes it would be nice if we could get the residents to paint the place but I am sure they feel it is going to be spoilt again by people with spray cans etc

The park looks inviting Jim. Wouldn't it be great if the neighbors got together and painted out the graffiti.Good job Edward and crew!!

I enjoyed a trip to that hidden secret Recreation Ground at the end of Robin Grove today..as I was meandering home.It's located at the end of a cul-de-sac..and the locals were very friendly and helpful when I asked questions.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooThe Park was much larger than I'd expected..and is bordered on the northside by the railway line (from Brentford to Syon Lane)..and on the westside by the Canal..which was out of view.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooJust one young lady with her dog when I was there..and she said that she enjoyed the park immensely. She hoped it would remain secret!  She mentioned youngers who went to the Park at night..but thought they were harmless!!ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooI thought that the graffiti on the wall blended in well with the industrial site/sight! across the Canal.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooFrom the nearby railway bridge (Church Walk) one could follow the rail line towards Syon Lane..and the rail bridge across the Canal can just be picked out halfway along.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooNot many people will have seen this hidden Park..so when you look on the Map you'll have a better idea of what's there.On leaving Robin Grove, there is one of my favourite front gardens across the road..in Church Walk...which has featured on this Forum before.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooend.  Keep up the good work Edward and friends.
