Thameswater
I have just found out today that you do not get what you pay for with Thameswater. The house next to mine has a large number of lodgers staying there, and when l go to use my hot water l find that because they are using the shower and or the washing machine or dish washer the water pressure is greatly reduced.I phoned Thameswater to ask if they had turned the water pressure down? They replied that my neighbours and l have a shared water main and if l wanted a better pressure to my house l would have to pay them to run a seperate main supply to my house. I said that as l pay the same water rates as my neighbour l should expect the same water pressure. They replied that because it was a shared watermain they legally only had to supply one bar per sq inch of minimum pressure to the main, and him being the first house inline gets to draw his water first. That is to say my neighbour gets all the water he wants while l can only get what remains due to reduced pressure, meaning very limited supply of water, ( ie, saturday and sunday no hot water until 10pm)even though l am paying the same money. In other words Thameswater are being paid for a service they are not supplying. Your thoughts please?
