Digital photography.

Can you recommend a digital Camera?  Which features do you like the best?Where have you found the best processing of prints – online, a Kodak booth or a processing shop?  Is it possible to have prints reproduced where the colour is as true as the original photograph?

You are right Jim about being able to take pictures quickly. My daughter recently bought a new Canon so she can do that for marching band pictures and sports etc. I'm not sure what model it was but it had a 3 in it!!

SarahI'm using a Canon Ixus 500 and you will have seen what pictures the camera produces AUTOMATICALLY! I just aim and press the button.The battery life could be better..and as yet I don't have a spare..but that should be my next purchase. It's so handed to be able to keep these small cameras handy in ones trouser pocket..ready for a photo opportunity.Sometimes the its difficult to take consecutive pictures quickly..and that failing facility is best compared with other cameras.I'd strongly recommend that you look at the most recent WHICH? Report on this subject..copies and back issues are available to view at Public Libraries. Cameras are compared in depth.

I use an Olympus C-765 and quite like it. Quality of the pictures is excellent. Good video too. It is light to carry around but the only problem I find is the life of the battery; it is a Li-Ion rechargeable. I carry spares at all times as well as a car charger!If I want to have photos printed I upload them to Costco and pick them up in an hour. Must admit to not bothering to do that often, we just upload to a picture gallery hosting site and the family can look at them there!!

I've got a Fuji Finepix S7000 and I love it. 7 megapixels, so the resolution is excellent. Don't know about prints though, I don't often print photos nowadays. Computers have made me lazy!!
