Tonight , whoever ,I will be.... ME

I am now heartily sick of being villified by members who post on this forum, accusing me of being names which they do not recognise,and decide that it must be Chris Boucher.I have no reason to post under any other name but my own, nor would I.I recall that before the elections in May I was expected to appear at the count with a "brown paper bag" on my head, given that I was suspected of being a mysterious poster, those people who were present at the count will recognise that I did not. I was also promised an aplogy from Councillor Andrews if that person was not me. I am still waiting. I would also happily accept apologies from anyone who has, in error, decided that I am/have posted on this site in any name other than my own.This is my first post on this or any other site.I am proud of who I am and do not need to hide behind a pseudonym to make a point!

Gerry,you know who these people are.They are your friends and only say nice things about you. A public forum where people are not necessarily so chummy is a different matter.Surely we all have a right to know we are having a genuine debate with people who are not hiding behind the skirts of another name?

O.k. Sarah and Gerry,we seem to be missing the point here. My objections are that people assume that certain names are posts from me, which is not the case.I am replying to you on the understanding that you are who you say you are, not jumping to conclusions that I suspect you of being someone else, and then making capital out of it.I do hope the references to female names are not a dig at the fact that I am gay, very cheap if they are.

I’m surprised to see the fuss and dismay on the question of having and using a second name.  Pseudonyms,  nom de plumes and alternative names are part of life and quite commonplace.  Indeed, I have three good friends – their names are Roger, Bill and Bjorn – at weekends, they rejoice in using their respective second names…Samantha, Sue and Elke! No big production really. Most people accept their harmless foibles. So what’s all the fuss about?  ;-)

Keith, I have no idea why anyone would use a pseudonym, and agree with you entirely. Exactly the point of my posting. I also think it"cowardly,disingenuous and childish" not to own your own comments.Unfortunately I think the same of those people who make unfounded decisions as to who the "mystery" person is, and then use it in debate, giving the alleged suspect no right of reply.To all those who have posted under a pseudonym and allowed me to take the flack, thanks. I may not be every bodies favourite person, but at least I don't  hide behind a false name.

Bump...but why do people post under pseudonyms?It strikes me as cowardly,disingenious and childish to not own your comments and thoughts and have the maturity to be able to handle the praise and the criticism(imposters both)that goes with a supposedly adult exchange of views. I can only surmise that anyone who does so is a weasel with something nasty to hide.

This is why the local Labour Party asks everyone to support MRAG and the legal action being taken by local residents for compensation.We have helped in this latest phase of the fight by visiting hundreds of local residents in Isleworth and Hounslow South over the last few months with information about getting involved in the legal case. Our newsletters have contained details of the solicitors who are handling the case, with application forms to be filled in and returned if people want to get involved.Many local residents did not know about the legal action, and they were pleased to receive the information that we gave them. We were very pleased by the response, and all of the forms have been sent to the solicitors.It’s disappointing that Phil can’t see that if we all work together as a team then we can succeed in sorting out this problem once and for all.

Thanks Paul, still have a real difficulty with accusations of me having lots of different names. I know that I have, in the vernacular, but not in terms of posting on sites. If you should discover who they are please let me know. That way none of us need to be bothered by people who are not who they say they are.

Well I am sure you would have taken the advice offered by others on this thread to find "your" previous posting by now,but I must admit I am now curious into how you forgot all about your maiden post.Surely somebody from 367 Chiswick Rd would not have posted it on your behalf,used your name,but neglected to tell you would they?

Hi Paul, if you can provide me with absolute evidence that I posted anything regarding Mogden in January I would be grateful.I am totally web illiterate although I seem to be winning in the spelling competition so far.However, I go back to my main point, I do not, have not and will not post under any other name but mine. Perhaps the apologies concerning accusations of my pseudonyms will now be forthcoming.
