EdwardI'm a regular visitor (several times each year) and can confirm that this is indeed an expensive voyage. Indeed, it might actually be cheaper to book a caravan holiday on a special deal which includes the crossing and simply not turn up at the site!I told Paul he would enjoy it. I think he had visions of 80-somethings lined up for miles along the esplanade swathed in blankets, drinking tea and eating crab sandwiches. Well, there are plenty of those too but they also have pubs, clubs and an awful lot of places of interest which can also be enjoyed by us, erm, 30-somethings.It's still England of course but for those of us who seem to work for thirty hours each day there is something psychologically liberating about putting that stretch of water between oneself and one's problems. Next time I'm there I shall keep an eye out for Paul on his Lambretta.
