Comedy at the Watermans

Has anybody been? What's it like? I haven't heard of any of the acts listed but does that mean there is loads of emerging talent on show or is it just a group of second rate stand-ups who aren't good enough to appear at the bigger clubs?Also did't there used to be comedy at Brentford Dock - is that still going?

We went to the Jo Caulfield night as well and thought it was excellent.  The curry was good too!

My husband and I went to 2 of the comedy nights, the Jo Caulfield night and the last one which was on the 19th, both nights really enjoyable, all acts very good and we both felt that the price of the tickets and the easy to get to location made this an event we would be happy to go to again. Lots of people there and a good atmosphere before the show in the bar and throughout the evening. It was announced at the end of the show on Sunday that the comedy nights would start again in February 2007.

The acts are all highly rated and appear regularly in the top venues (and in the Edinburgh Fringe) Junior Simpson is on the bill for the 1 October and Jo Caulfield (top female stand-up)will be there with her touring show on 22 October. The 'website offer' saves you £2 a ticket this Sunday if you mention it when you book!

I might try out a open mike session at The little House in Bedfont to see how it goes, at the Brentford festival there was a number of people who where asking about a Folk night as some of the other venues had stop doing this and it was popular, what do others think.
