A good cuppa

To coincide with Open House, the Friends of Boston Manor have decided to open the pavilion for teas on Saturday and Sunday 10.00 - 4.00 pm providing it can get volunteers to help on a rota basis.  If you are able to help out, could you please contact me linda.massey@virgin.net with your preferred dates and times.  The funds raised will be added to the Brentford Festival money and put "in the pot" for the cafe in the park fund.

Thanks Jim for these wonderful pictures. My Mother-in-law's ashes were placed by a tree opposite the bowling green and there is a plaque there I believe. Nice to see the grounds so well looked after.

As an active member of the Friends of Boston Manor I welcome the interest shown in Boston Manor Park and for the excellent photographs shown on this website.  Another project is brewing - Recycling park plants .... volunteers will be invited to come to the park to help "lift selected bedding plants" You can keep what you lift in exchange for a donation to the "cafe in the park fund".  Watch this space for more information.

As Michael Winner would say..the view is historic!!There is a huge green sports field just here..overlooked by a world class building (IMHO!). Would you believe..it's Brentford TW8!

Thank you Linda..My plan is to call in for a cuppa on Sunday..and visit the inside of the 400 year old house for the first time!Years ago our football teams used to play at Boston Manor..and we used the Stables as changing rooms....cold water baths I recall (1958?)Hope you have plenty of visitors this Open House weekend.
