What a day June and I had. Today we went to show our Aunty Alma the photos of 87 Crane Ave, where she once lived. She was shocked to hear that Jim went looking for her house and found it!! She said it looks better now then all those years ago. The tree out the front still standing, just, and the hedge. She and her family are forever thankful. She was more confused how we got the photos from England to here so quickly. I told her the carrier pigeons fly express now!! Her son Ian arrived later and we all sat down to watch the trolley bus video of 667 and 657. They remembered it all. We haven't laughed so much in a long time. The happiness you brought us all is incredible. It was great to hear Aunty Alma and Ian reminiscing the past. I took my 300 page folder for her to see and she was amazed at Brentford High St. You've made one elderly lady very happy Jim.  We viewed a few of her photo albums but ran out of time, so we will go back in another fortnight. We did however get Ian to take a photo of Aunty Alma, June and myself. So here we are today.  Looking at the photo, from left is June, then Aunty then myself.........................................................Below is Aunty Alma's shop they used to own in Worple rd, although on the back of the photo it says - 2 Worple Way, Richmond. That is my Uncle Gino with his back to us. Their surname was Giacopini. .......................................................This is Ian helping behind the counter..........................................................Again Jim thank you so much.Joan, June, Alma and Ian.

Good morning everyone..and thanks for your responses. As Paul mentioned there was a serious accident when the Ivybridge Estate was being constructed..and I recall that there were fatalities sadly. I believe(recall) that the accident happened on the Easedale Tower.Lets have a look at the recently revitalised structures.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooTerrific isn't it...there must be some glorious views from the top floors.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooI think I'm being watched..well I hope so!oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooEach of the four tower blocks seem to be named after locations in the Cumbrian Lake District..this is Easedale...a valley.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooYou might be able to read this Notice Board..if you zoom in!The three other tower blocks are called Windermere, Haweswater and Thirlmere..the old people's home is called Kirkstone Lodge (been up Kirkstone Pass?) and the Ivybridge Community Hall is called Langdale.ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooThe Easedale bulding is a wonderful view to behold when you stand in front of it.. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooAnd nearby..an Ivybridge home receives loving care from its occupants.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooSome of these pictures first appeared on that new TW7 website..but were ripped off when website changes were asunder, whole chunks of messages deleted at different times..and Room 101 occupants were on the loose. JL withdrew to retain his sanity!
