Any gardeners/allotment holders?
Hello,I'm replacing the carpets in my flat, but don't really want to just throw the old ones away. Sadly they can't be recycled and no-one from the freecycle site is interested so I was wondering if any gardeners or allotment holders might want them?According to the Recycle Now website, old carpets can be used in the following ways:Use in your garden as mulch, or between rows of plants to prevent weeds Cut up carpets for use as foot mats in cars or to line the boot. Cut into small circles and place under the feet of heavy furniture. This should help to protect your new carpet! Take old mats or rugs on camping or caravan holidays to use as a doormat Old pieces of carpet can be used to cover your compost bin over the winter Anyone interested or know of anyone else who might want them?
