Have I missed something?

Does anyone know why there is a headline on the front of this Forum saying that the Police asked for calm after someone was charged with rape and other offences? I didn't even know anything about it, did anyone else? Why would the Police think there would be any trouble? Or is it they now expect some nutcase to go on the rampage over anything at all in the current climate?

It might have been more to the point had women in general been warned by the thin blue line that they needed to exercise some caution if they happened to be near that area, to think they knew there was possibly some danger and said nothing strikes me as negligent, so perhaps the calm referred to was in case you clocked a copper for being dim? Yes, the old earplugs are just the ticket aren't they?

I think that there must have been anxiety in the local area there...off Bridge Road.. as many sexual offences had apparently occured over a short period.  Quite a worry for the locals there I would have thought..especially as firearms were involved too.The fact that someone has been "caught" by the Police..must allayed fears..surely...and the headline re calmness was perhaps uttered to the journalist.Now calm down lady! ;0)PS: those earplugs are working well!
