The "newly opened Copacabana Club at Ferry Quays" ??

Thursday's Hounslow Chronicle..page 12..contains an article about a forthcoming fund-raising event on 27th October at the ""newly opened Copacabana Club at Ferry Quays.""Well that's a surprise ..has anyone been there yet? I've not heard about it before. Oliver will be excited..and so might I be!It's a Debbie Dewar Halloween do as well..(Debbie is an expert at this)..and the Chronicle states that she has been raising funds for the West Middx Hospital Baby Unit (Starlight Ward)for 14 years. No doubt Debbie will tell us about it and we'll support the event..won't we?. But the new venue..is news!  Any information?

Hi Jim, Thank you I haven't seen that article. I know on the night of Debs halloween party they stayed open until 4am but I am not sure whether they wish to do this all the time. I think that the article may have it slightly wrong as they are closed on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Their license is displayed outside the club with it's full details on the notice board.best regardsIna

Hi James, I can totally understand your point and how annoying the noise is to the residents. I have to say that The Copacabana do try very hard to keep the level to a minimum by putting up numerous sign asking customers to be considerate to the residents by keeping the noise down, and any noisy customers are also informed that it is a residential area.Hopefully the situation will get better.Best regardsIna

Ina,It's not the sound-proofing of the club that is the issue, but the antisocial behaviour that goes on when the residents leave the premises in the early hours of the morning that concerns Ferry Quays residents.

Hi Everybody, just to answer your questions, The Copacabana did have an extention until 4am on the night of the 27th of October for Debbie's party. They are constantly working to improve things in the club to the best of their abilities. With regards to the noise levels they have sort the advice from environmental health as well as sound proofing specialists. The sound proofing in the club has been undertaken and shall be shortly completed. So hopefully the Residence will be pleased with this. i would like to thanks the copacabana club for letting me hold my HALLOWEEN COSTUME BALL 27th oct 06 which was a roaring sucess and much fun had by all my guests some many wonderfull costumes that night and a lot of hard effort from myself ina and the wonderfull bar manager Ozzy, jojo and shim  the place look creepy with all the halloween decor and cobwebs everywhere  some of the photos can be viewed outside the club and futher ones will be availble to view at Fantasy land 61 ealing road brentford Im hoping to use the venue for futher events so watch this space for thoses of you who couldnt make the party youll have to come to the next one.thanks againall the best debbie x

Hi Jim,Went to this club one Saturday night in October after dining at Pappadums (still great food btw), and it tended toward a South American feel, there were a couple of caberet acts, a semi naked woman clad in a glittered bikini and a headress and a guy dressed in what resembled an indian costume but made of feathers, so each gender gets their eye candy!  Brazillian type dancing.  The club is well laid out albeit in a bit of a time warp, especially with the dry ice that appeared once a few people were on the dance floor.  It seems to be in the early stages with a licence until midnight.  They actually had a petition the night we were there to sign for extended hours.  Hope it picks up, nice to have somewhere to shake your booty if the mood takes.  The people there seemed to be around the 30's and over age.

There’s a website mentioned on the Club's flyer..some of website still under construction.www.copacabanabarandclub.co.ukThey need a dictionary!! Oh dear, some of the spelling is iffy..and one is reminded of another recently launched Brentford website too that failed the 11+. “””Copacbana is an attractive, well and stunningley designed cocktail bar with a sophisticated south American and Europian wine list, extensive list of beers and lagers.Copacabana is a haven of style and sophistacaion in which to dine , meet or simpley relax whilst sipping on one of the cocktails.”””If the spelling is bad..I wonder what the arithmetic is like ?

Any reports about this Club/Night Club located in the residential area of Ferry Quays?Have yet to go there myself..but it sounds as if it might/or might not be ...my cup of tea!Active bouncers and iffy inflated bar bills have been reported to my news desk(!)...and I did see in the Hounslow Chronicle an application for a Bar Licence till 4pm (a misprint?..they really meant 4am!) Any good reports from you swingers..about this Brentford hotspot? And what's it like living in a peaceful area by the  River there..and finding a night club arriving on your doorstep? Is it a handy Brentford night-life facility?

They do a selection of Yummy cocktails.
