10K for Rainforest Foundation

Hi, just a bit of a begging post here so sorry.I'm running my next 10k in Regents Park this Sunday for the rainforest foundation. This is a charity that seeks to buy up areas of rainforest to prevent them from being felled. It also effectively pays the indigenous people of the congo to be guardians and take care of the areas they live in so farmers won't clear areas etc.I can be sponsored at www.justgiving.com/conalstewart if you care about this charity at all.If you do sponsor, then thanks.I aim to do it in about 40 mins by the way.  I did the Nike 10K in 43:10 so hopefully can do better

Hi thanks to those who sponsored me. I didn't manage to break my 40 minute barrier, I did feel a little ropey on the morning. I did make 98th out of 1900 finishers.  Official time is 42:17  So I'm not completely useless.  Rest assured I will get better and the next one will be less than 40!!!For those who are interested...http://www.rainforestfoundationuk.org/sync/documents/RFFT10Kresults06.xlscopy and past this url and it'll take you to the results as I have no shame, I should have done better.Next one is a few months away so I'll let you know.But again, thanks for sponsoring me, its really nice for the support.

Thanks guys, have raised another 50 offline in the office.  So its probably closer to 150, which isn't bad.The real thing is next spring for cancer backup.  Thats the london marathon as I've applied for a gold bond place with this charity.  Its all about male cancer this time raising awareness of testicular and prostate cancer.  Have to raise 1,500 for that one!10ks are my focus but one marathon will not kill me. I launch that site on just giving as soon as I know i've a place.If anyone else wants to contribute to the Rainforest Foundation by sponsoring me I would be grateful.  I am going to try and break my 40 min barrier.  Its my physical barrier! Not too bad for a 32 year old with knee problems!

Excellent cause Conal. Just in case is isn't just me, clicking on the link doesn't seem to work. I went to justgiving.com, then clicked on 'look for friend' and typed in Conal Stewart - in two words, didn't work as Conalstewart.
