I have an Uncle who lives in Nottingham who just sent me this...is it the same Guy??If it is this is Great News!!Nottingham City Homes appoints new Chief Executive Nottingham City Homes has announced the appointment of Chris Langstaff as its new Chief Executive.Chris is Chief Executive of Hounslow Homes, a 3-star (with excellent prospects) ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) in London. It was formed in 2002 as one of the first eight (Round 1) ALMOs and was tasked with managing the Council’s 16,500 homes and delivering almost £100 million of refurbishment and improvement works to bring its housing stock up to the Government’s Decent Homes standard by 2006.The ALMO is responsible for the majority of functions previously undertaken by Hounslow Council’s Housing Department. This includes home improvement works, leaseholder services, resident participation, home ownership, rents, customer services, training, partnering and procurement and service development.Commenting on the appointment, Nottingham City Homes Chair, Paul Rowe, said:“I am delighted that Chris Langstaff has agreed to join the Company at an important time in our development. This is excellent news for tenants, as Chris has an impressive track record and knows just what is required for us to be one of the top performing ALMOs in the Country. We have made real progress in turning round the failures identified by the Audit Commission and Chris will build on the excellent work started by our Acting Chief Executive, David Hucker when he joins us in the New Year”
