my old school

Has anybody got any photo's or information on St Johns RC school that was in Clifden Road and Brook Road I left in 1953.

jimit maybe worthwhile having a chat with the archivist at the library in hounslow. They keep a lot of records and photos.regardsandy A

Thanks nobody seems to have any photo's it's a shame. Mr Clarke was headmaster Mr O'Shea and Miss ? Mr White  I remember Sr Benedict and Sr Dympna.I seved Mass in the Butts Convent before school with Fr Allen and Fr Ferry both had motorbikes. We used to over the road to Brentford Seniors for our dinners. Great Memories

I also went to St. Johns in the 50s as did both my older sisters Collette Smith (who probably left in about 1954/5)and Gabrielle Smith a year or so later.  The school was demolished in about 1969.  Sadly I have no photos and I imagine all the teachers I had were different to you except perhaps Sr. Benedict and Sr. Dympna both of whom seemed very old to me as a child, maybe even Sr. Anton.  My children went to the new St. Johns and now my grandchildren are there.

johni went to this school and left in 1949, my name is andy atkinson and mr o'shea (shaggy) was my teacher. why dont you speak to iris morley at the present st.johns school at the rear of the church in boston? road. If i can help in any way just send me an email ok.
