The Convent Way Xmas Lights: Mayor's Visit on Tuesday

GOOD NEWS: THE MAYOR OF HOUNSLOW, Cllr Felicity Barwood, will be visiting Convent Way to see the lights and more..at 5.45pm on TUESDAY 12th DECEMBER 2006.   Come along to No 21 and No 29..I'll be there with others.oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooFor the past 15 years, it seems, thousands of passers by (and other making specials trips) make the journey to Convent Way to see the "WOW" Christmas decorations at No 21 and No29.They are really worth seeing...and the nearer to Christmas the more atmospheric it will all seem. Children will love the displays, the Father Christmas Grottos and more.We have so far raised £300 and this has been shared between the two families to help with their higher electricity bills. We are hoping a raise another £100-200.  Any surplus..over and above the fuel bills ..will go to the Charities that each house is collecting for.Mr and Mrs Brace at No 21 Convent Way have a collection box for the local Alzheimers Charity..which organises outings and tea-parties for Clients and Carers. Your Cheques/cash  can be sent /delivered direct to Mrs Brace at No 21. (Cheques payable to Mrs Brace or Alzheimers Society.At No 29 Mr and Mrs Groves are collecting for a Heston Charity that is hiring a giant Ambulance (Jumblulance) which takes wheelchair bound and stretcher bound clients and carers to Lourdes in France.
