38 Kew Bridge Road TW8 0EB
I write due to our concerns in connection to the works outside this building (opposite Thames Water and the Railway Museum)With no notice to the residents of the 56 flats here we suddenly find ourselves with all our pavement being ripped apart, access to our car park seriously disrupted and work starting each day around 7.15am including loud diggers.I ask the following questions?where is the notice in advance of works?where is the consultation we expect from the the Council re: ripping up trees and narrowing the footpath? Are you aware that to widen the road as we think is your objective, will simply increase the speed on this road?why on earth are you not seeking out the opinion of the people who use this road?Have you considered that the bus lane is a joke ?Are you aware of the dangerous situation outside this building when people coming from the west wish to turn right in and all the oncoming traffic is pulling into our path? (due to your road works or is it pavement works)??We here at Regatta Point need answers with regard to these UNEXPECTED WORKS.We are also concerned that you intend then to re-surface the road (I found this ut by speaking to an Inspector) - will this be the end of it, or can we expect the road to be ripped up again within 3 months which has been the case for years now.I am the Chairman of Regatta Point (Freehold) Ltd.We have already contacted Env Health about the time the works are starting each day and they understand our concerns with regard to the noise and the fact we have not been informed as to what is going on.So lets have some answers and information.Margaret Shaw
